RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Thursday, 21
July 2022 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium (PACS) via video teleconference hosted by General Kenneth 'Cruiser' Wilsbach, Commander U.S. Pacific Air Forces today. Representing the RBAirF was Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad, the Deputy Commander of RBAirF.
The main agenda for this edition of symposium was 'Aeromedical Patient Movement and Treatment in the Indo-Pacific'. Air Chiefs and representatives from a total of 18 countries convened in the virtual teleconference that saw 8 countries delivering their presentations on their experiences, challenges and way forward in aeromedical movement and treatment in the pacific region and the importance it has in the contemporary operating environment. The discussion also encompassed on the safety during the aeromedical operations and interoperability with medical services.
PACS is a quarterly conference hosted by the U.S. Pacific Air Forces where Air Forces from the pacific region would convene and discuss on bilateral and multilateral defence and security matters in efforts to maintain the security and stability of the region from an air force perspective as well as explore avenues of opportunities with partner nations on various aspects of cooperation.
TUDB MENGHADIRI PERSIDANGAN PACIFIC AIR CHIEFS SYMPOSIUM 2022
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Khamis, 21 Julai 2022 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri Persidangan Pacific Air Chiefs (PACS) yang dikendalikan secara maya dan dipengerusikan oleh Jeneral Kenneth 'Cruiser' Wilsbach, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Pasifik, Amerika Syarikat. Mewakili TUDB adalah Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad, Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB.
Agenda utama bagi edisi simposium kali ini adalah
Aeromedical Patient Movement and Treatment in the Indo-Pacific. Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Udara serta wakil dari 18 buah negara menyertai persidangan tersebut yang mana 8 buah negara menyampaikan pembentangan ringkas mengenai pengalaman, cabaran serta perancangan dalam penerbangkan perubatan dan pesakit di rantau pasifik terutama sekali dalam menghadapi persekitaran operasi pada masa ini. Turut dibincangkan adalah mengenai keselamatan penerbangan serta
interoperability bersama agensi perubatan luar.
PACS merupakan persidangan suku tahun yang dianjurkan oleh Tentera Udara Pasifik Amerika Syarikat dimana pemerintah serta perwakilan tentera udara dari rantau pasifik bersidang untuk membincangkan hal dua hala dan pelbagai hala dalam isu pertahanan dari perspektif udara serta menerokai peluang-peluang kerjasama dengan Angkatan sahabat dari pelbagai aspek.
